Environmental Philosophy

Johnson International supports the philosophies and practices of sustainable forestry. We strive to sell only wood products which are harvested from lands which have been legally set aside for the purpose of managed timber harvesting. Ensuring new growth through regeneration methodologies is paramount to this philosophy. As leaders in the forestry industry, Johnson International is committed to improving and protecting our natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

In this spirit, Johnson International is a certified member of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC is comprised of three key groups: environmental, economic and social, that set the standards for sustainable forestry management. The organization certifies lumber mills and landowners who meet or exceed the established standards. We will continue our efforts to partner with other groups in promoting sustainable forestry.
